Banksy started as a freehand graffiti artist in the early 1990s. Since then, his works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls and bridges of cities througout the world. He also organizes his own exhibitions. Most recently, a Banksy painting – shortly after it was sold in an auction at Sotheby’s in London for more than one million pound – passed through a shredder hidden within the frame and partially shredded itself.
